With more than 20 years of experience in the Engineering domain and about 15 of those in different leadership roles I can support your business in many different ways. I have an engineering background and use my tech skills together with my leadership skills to make a difference. I help teams and individuals to perform at their best and enjoy doing it. The leadership I provide is heavily influenced by my learnings and experiences working for agile and lean organizations such as Spotify, Tink and Com hem. I live in Stockholm (Sweden) and currently work at the fintech company Tink.

In the section Engineering Leadership in Practice, I share some my thoughts on leadership, on being a manager and other things I have learned over the years. Learning about other people’s experiences has been a great way for me to improve my own leadership why I hope that sharing here could help or inspire other leaders in their daily challenges. I am also super curious about learning more about your experiences so if you want to share your thoughts by commenting on the site, that will be more than appreciated! And if you would prefer a more private conversation, don’t hesitate to reach out to me on asa@ranneby.nu.

Being a manager. I have lots of experience onboarding into new teams and organizations and quickly get an understanding of the current challenges and build trust with the people I work with. I am an appreciated manager and leader with strong coaching skills that leads by providing a clear direction and practice servant leadership with an active ”nudging” approach to help people find the right way forward. Continuous learning and improvement is my mantra and that has helped me learn and develop my skills over the years. But most important is my strong interest in helping people perform at their best and to solve any problem that stands in front of me.

Being an Agile coach. I have helped teams to improve their delivery and increase their impact in the organization by coaching, teaching and tweaking the way they work. I work together with teams to define their best ways of working and help them continuously improve their collaboration and working process to optimize for great impact in the org. I have experience of forming new teams, defining team setups, design work process, manage conflicts, facilitate workshops and meetings, teach, mentor, build organizational culture and build strong teams that drive themselves forward in an agile way.

Being a Product Manager/Product Owner. I have experience of defining a product (and tech) strategies, form product goals, define and work with OKRs, develop and work with roadmaps in an agile way to make sure we are working with the most important thing at all times. I have done user research and got close to our customers to understand their needs and taken a data driven approach to understand the usage of our products as well as to our own delivery. I perform my product work in a way that empower the team to take responsibility for the execution as well as influence the direction we are taken.

Being a Coach/Mentor. I have great experience from coaching engineers, managers and other leaders and really enjoy helping people learn new things about themselves or find a new path forward through our coaching journey. In my coaching I actively mix between coaching questions, giving guidance and advise to ensure I use the right technique at the right moment. Helping people grow gives me lots of energy.

You need to throw yourself outside of your comfort zone to grow and when doing that it is good to remember… Failing is not a failure but a great opportunity to learn.
